I get to work on a lot of cool things with my job, sometimes I even get to help make a difference in the world with the media I write for. I feel honored and blessed to able to contribute to the Far Between documentary (the link will do a much better job explaining it than I can). This video is part of the It Get Better project, produced by the creator of Far Between, Kendal Wilcox, (music by me, edited by Andrew Schleiffarth). It was created to show Mormon LGBT youth who may be feeling alone and afraid, that they are not alone, and life can get better with hope for happiness and love in their life. It’s sponsored by USGA (Understanding Same-Gender Attraction) which is an unofficial group of Brigham Young University students, faculty, and friends who wish to strengthen families and the BYU community by providing a place for open, respectful discussions on the topic of same-gender attraction.

It's a well-done video. The people who speak in and organized this video are definitely doing a good job. In his book "Man's Search for Meaning," Victor Frankl describes certain courageous people as those who "turn their predicaments into human achievements." I like the direction of this video because it doesn't dwell too much on the victimhood of these students, but it mostly opens up a dialog that needs to be had at BYU. Nice music too.
